Explanation of Class: Jessica Snowden has been teaching art to people of all ages for over 20 years. As a working artist, she uses creativity as a tool for healing and connections.
Mindful art is a practice of slowing down to refocus. Using a combination of expressive modalities, each participant is given an opportunity to connect inward to feel into and process “messages”. We will explore the use of artistic action as a tool for creating calm to become aware of our thoughts.
“Message Threads” will be presented in the form of Neurographic Art to process thought-provoking questions. Each participant uses either their own or a provided question to open their thought process. We then move into the movement of creating artwork as we sit with the “messages” that come through. The final result is a completed piece and a better understanding of the answer to their question.
